Interface Guide
DM Note consists of two independent windows.
Main Window
The main window is where you manage all program settings.
Top Tabs
- Keys: Manage key mapping and placement.
- Settings: Change program settings.
Keys Tab
The key mapping tab provides the following features:
| Feature | Description |

| Key mode selection | Select various key modes like 4key, 5key, 6key, 8key, etc. |
| Add/Remove keys | Right-click on the grid to add or remove keys. |
| Change key mapping | Click a key to change the mapped keyboard key. |
| Adjust key position | Drag keys to move them to desired positions. |
| Adjust key size | Select a key and drag the handles to resize. |
Settings Tab
The settings tab allows you to configure:
- General settings: Language, background color, rendering options, etc.
- Note effects: Note effect color, speed, height, etc.
- Key counter: Counter display and style settings
- Custom CSS/JS: Custom styles and plugins
Overlay Window
The overlay window is a transparent window where key inputs are visualized.
Features
- Transparent background: Background is transparent so it can be placed as an overlay on top of game screens.
- Click-through: Enable “Click-through” option in settings to pass mouse clicks through the overlay.
- Always on top: Use “Always on top” option to keep it above other windows.
Using with OBS
To maintain transparent background in OBS Studio:
- Use Window Capture.
- Set capture method to Windows 10 (1903 and later).
- Check Capture client area.
Transparent background is maintained without chroma key.
